We have a mystery anthology that will be opening for subs sooner than this one, but we just got the cover for our winter anthology, Undead of Winter. More info:
Mummies, Zombies, Vampires, Ghosts... if it's dead and still getting around, we're interested in it. Stories should be set in the winter months. Holiday stories are welcome... Hanukkah, Christmas, Solstice, Kwanzaa, etc... but they should be winter holidays. Open submission period: August 1 - October 1, 2013.
All contributors will receive a free trade paperback copy of the book, plus royalties. Contributors will also be able to purchase more print copies at a 50% discount on the cover price. We're seeking first world rights in English to publish in print and electronic format for 12 months, beginning on the date of publication. Please see our Guidelines and Payment page for further information on the rights we ask for and the compensation we offer.
Well, I've been reading entries till I'm as cross-eyed as our little bat, but we still have plenty of room in Strangely Funny for more stories. So, if you ever wanted to write a story about an Italian chef who has to quit making garlic bread after becoming a vampire, give it a shot!
In other news: we are working on the guidelines for All Hallows' Evil. Once again, we will be offering a free print copy of the antho to all authors, but we are considering other rewards as well - royalties or a flat fee.
We do want to reward our authors, so as the press grows, we hope to offer more to our contributors.
Mystery and Horror, LLC, is an indie press interested in what the name suggests.
